Turkey Hill is a very special cat. He is 3 years old, and was found living outside this winter. Neighbors described one of the cats as looking “crazy.” He is not crazy, he has cerebellar hypoplasia, a disease kittens get usually when their mother is sick while pregnant, that doesn't get any worse over their lifetime, and leads to uncoordinated movements. How he managed to survive outside is very surprising. He has the “mild” level of cerebellar hypoplasia, meaning he can climb and use the litter box (although he may need some special accommodations with that, a big box secured so it can't tip over). But wobbles his head and walks uncoordinated, often flopping to one side. Personality- wise, Turkey Hill is a precious, gentle, loving bear of a cat. He loves pets, scritches, headbutts. He is extremely food motivated. His wobbles increase based on interest, so dinnertime or snacks have him wobbling like a madman. He likes other cats but may do well in a home where he gets enough human adoration, as he so richly deserves. This cat can be adopted as a single cat or with a calm companion. This cat has a mild case of Cerebellar Hypoplasia, is a neurological condition in which the cerebellum is smaller than usual or not completely developed. Affectionately known as a Wobbly Cat, this disorder is not progressive or contagious, and doesn’t cause any serious health problems – he just has a distinctive, quirky (and honestly very cute) way of walking around. She sometimes trips over her own feet, but she gets right back up and keeps going!
